| Membership
Information:
Here are some of the most popular questions
regarding membership:
How Safe and Discreet
is the Billing? All transactions are totally safe and secure. Your
payment will be processed by Verotel, which is one of the two largest online
billing companies in the world. They are strictly governed by the likes of Visa
and Mastercard and use the same 128-bit encryption technology as used by all major
Banks for your online-banking and share trading. All transactions are also
very discreet. Your credit card will be billed simply as Verotel
- and because they process millions of transactions from online fishing books
to secure access, nobody but you will ever know whether you've bought a membership
or a golfing newsletter!! What's Better? - Tokens
or Membership? This depends entirely on you and how you wish to
use this website. As a general rule, serious and genuine users prefer a membership,
as it works out much cheaper if you plan on downloading lots of material. On
the other hand, PPV Token users only pay for the films they actually download
and may also use their Tokens on other websites. For more information, see the
details on the What are Tokens page.
Help!! - I've Lost my Password / Username: If you forget or lose
your club membership password or your username, don't worry. You can retrieve
either of them simply by going here.
My Membership Password does NOT seem to Work: There are two
very popular reasons why your passcodes may not work: 1. Your membership
has expired. Please check your emails or renewal notices to see when your passwords
were due to terminate. To get another password, simply repeat the sign-up process. 2.
You are not entering them correctly! - This is much more common that you would
believe. Remember that all passcodes and usernames are case-sensitive, so an "A"
is not the same as an "a". So please make sure your keyboard
does not have its Caps Lock button switched on. Another very popular and
easy mistake to make is to confuse the capital (or even the lowercase) letter
"O" with the numerial "0" (zero). If you
have double checked that none of the above is to blame, please contact us. Technical
password problems are rare, but not impossible.
Cancelling a Membership: You are free can cancel your membership
at any time. Just login to your Ticket Club area and select the cancel
button. Can I Keep what I Download from the
Membership Area? Of course you can. Every time you download a video
from my members area it's yours to keep. You may watch it over and over forever!! Membership
gives you full access to the entire website! |

Videos
and Downloads Assistance:
Common questions / problems
on video downloading and playback:
How Do
I Download? - And Can I View the Videos Live? You can view videos
"live" by simply clicking on their links, but only as long as
you have the correct media player and all the codecs. You also need a fast Internet
connection or the films will pause periodically. I always highly recommend
you download instead. To download, you simply right-click
on the link and choose the "Save Target As ..." option. If you have
a download assistant, (recommended), follow its download instructions. A good
one is Download
Accelerator Plus. This has a very useful "Smart Resume"
feature, in case your download gets interrupted.
Free Video Players: Whilst your operating system
probably already has everything you need, every page includes links to several
free Video Players. If you're using Windows, then RealMedia Player
is probably the only one you'll need to download. Windows Media Player can pretty
much handle all the others. Codecs:
- Very Important!! Codecs are tiny programs that act as "instruction
manuals" to tell your video or audio player how to read and play the file.
Windows comes with a good selection of codecs built in - and it also automatically
searches for (and installs) any new codecs it needs when you play a film. A
video file is made up of two codecs; one for the audio and one for the video.
Without the correct codec to decompress and play the file, the video player will
not know what to do your it. The sound codec is very popular and almost never
causes a problem, however there are lots of different video codecs and you may
occasionally need to install one if your player does not detect it automatically
for you. Your media player will generally tell you the name and version of
the codec it requires. To find and install codecs, simple type the name of it
into your Internet browser (ie. google). Then just follow the instructions on
the codec's website to download and install it to your machine. For a good
codec website, try this link.
DivX Codecs: These codecs are required to play some AVI movies,
but because they are made by another company, Windows does not generally search
for them. DivX is however one of the best codecs and offers very high quality
playback whilst still keeping the files reasonable small. As most top films use
DivX I highly recommend you download and install them. | |

Why does my Video have Sound - But NO Picture? All my videos have
picture, otherwise they would not be listed. So if you ever get a picture problem,
this again is a codec issue. Your machine understands how to play the sound, but
does not yet know what to do with the image. All you need to do is add the codec.
- See codecs. I
can't seem to find the Video I just Download: Often people are
in such a hurry to download, that they forget to note where their computer is
downloading it too! - If the file is not in the folder you thought it would be,
you can do a search. A better way is to simply start another file download and
make sure you look to see exactly which directory it is being saved it. - Then
cancel the download window. What is Classed
as Full-Screen - and what's a Frame Rate? Screen size, resolution,
frames per second, compression ratios - these are all technical areas that tend
to confuse the average user. I don't intend to explain them all, but basically
Internet films are not the same quality as films for television. A true, uncompressed
raw AVI file used for digitized TV would simply be impossible to host on the net.
You would be looking at a giant size file of about 4-Gig for each minute of video.
So to make files smaller, but still watchable, people have had to play all sorts
of tricks. Firstly all Internet films are compressed. This is why you need codecs
to "uncompress" them. There are all sorts of ways to compress a film
- most bad - and if you compress it too much then the film looks like a cartoon
and the background whites-out. I'm sure we've all seen this. Then there is the
frame rate; how many images you see per second. This is often 15 frames (about
half that used for TV) as your eye will barely notice the difference. Last but
not least you have the resolution. A film with a resolution of 360x288
(or over) is considered to be a full-screen movie. In truth it's not quite,
but double the resolution and your file size gets 4x bigger, so it's much preferred
to double your media player's window instead. That's why it has the "play
at 200%" option built in to it. - There's plenty more technical info on the
net if you're really interested. Otherwise just play the films and make them as
big as it looks good!! - My full screen films are optimised for television quality. |
